*The world is filled with shallow doofus-es*
*Extreme NERD Rant!*

Being a doctor/ lawyer comes in handy like well, you know what to do when you have a heart attack etc etc... BEING AN ENGINEER... SAVES ME A BLOODY LOT OF MONEY.

The world moves at a fast pace and technology moves at an even faster rate. The average Joe obviously wanting to stay afloat needs a destop/ laptop/ PDA/ Handphone/ MP3 Player/ PSP... yet the average Joe HAS NO IDEA what is most $$$ worthy. When I see another doofus with an iPod... ridiculous amount of $$$ to say 'Hey, I'm awesome... I APPLE!'... buy a darn mp3 player that will do the same for less! SO... to all you pretentious MAC asses... come on, give in... you know Windows will allow easy software access. Malaysians are obsessed with HTC... Really? The functions are unlimited? I think NOT! You just want to holler 'Hey, I'm awesome... I HTC' Haih, buy a PDA brand that provides PC's thus producing the most manipulatable features. Come on, I do this for a living, I know what I'm talking about as bimbotic as I aim to seem :P What? You need GPS? Haih, just load the software into your PDA/ Lappie, not buy a whole new playtoy to display directions. Don't even get me started on a cameras... SO WHAT IF ITS AS THIN AS A PAPER or COMES IN ALL COLOURS? What matters is the quality of photos... 'Hey, I'm awesome... I SONY!' *Yi Fen don't kill me!

To all the 'HEY I'M AWESOME... I Gucci... I Nine West... I GUESS... I COACH... I iPOD... I SONY... I HP... I NOKIA... I BMW... I MERCEDES... I ESTEE LAUDER... I DIOR'... ppppssssttt... wise up, you went to school didn't you... IT'S JUST A BRAND, IF THATS WHAT IT TAKES TO MAKE YOU ACCESSIBLE/COOL/AWESOME... smell the roses and realise you were cool to begin with anyways... YOU JUST HAVE TO BELIEVE IT :)) GO SPEND THE MONEY ON BOOKS/ FOOD INSTEAD!

"We're all slaves to fashion
We're all fucking idiots.

Mass uniformity will
never get us noticed,
admired or desired.

Individuality
is what turns heads...
gets us laid...
brings home the bread
blah, blah, blah.

But true.

Let's dare to go green
when the rest go red.
Let's dare to use a
different compass to
navigate us to
a different conclusion.
Let's dare to stand out.

Let's do it now!"

ps: Nothing against buying quality, I obviously have these labels in my home too... its the R-TARDS that buy stuff for an identity I'm against! God I hate those 'sprayed all around with my brand just so people can tell' LV Bags! Oh I'm sure, its the bag you love...bah, kiss my chutney.

pps: How much do you think stuff with brands/images/pop culture fads cost to get made... now HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR EM? Clue? RIPPED OFF :P

*Macau*

OMG! This is one place I really wanted to head to this year! I'VE GOT MY TICKETS AT RM120! I WILL BE OFF TO MACAU THIS SEPTEMBER!!! Oh its glorious architecture :) My very first Chinese dominated country too... I hope my years trying to decipher DuDuButt n Pals/ Piggies Wonderland gossip sessions will pay off...Cantonese classes anyone?

2009 : Cambodia - Vietnam - Macau - Laos - Brunei/Sbh/Swk! Anyone wants to tag along is welcome! Still haven't found a travel buddy for India yet though... Indian men obviously love us women thus, I need tough, strong, hunky men as bodyguards... come on, we'll boogie across the country Bollywood style!

ps: Watched a bunch of teens build a school in Africa, wonder when will I have the funds to make such a difference in the lives of uneducated Malaysians? It's simple math, educate a woman, you educate the whole family... securing the future generation! For now, plans for a free kindergarten + library will have to do! ALL UNWANTED BOOKS ARE WELCOME... MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

pps: I AM MAKING CHOC CHIP COOKIES!!! MMMM... VEGETARIAN FRIENDLY....OoOoh wait... just took a bite of a super gooey first batch...The irony? I'm cracking my skull with advanced quantum theory within walls of a cavity (like an oven) as the cookies bake in my shiny oven.

*DOME*
I head off to KLCC late night to teach my matey math for coming exams *yes, I am that big a nerd :P To boot I get a free delish meal!

I've only been to DOME once, years ago with Le DuDu and never been back since. My impression of the place was overated, overpriced and the food wasn't THAT yummy anyways. Though I must admit 5 stars for its classic deco and soothing enviroment *So Ye Olde Smokehouse-ish.He begs me to give it another chance so I do so... AND IT WAS MMMMMM....

I order the spicy chicken mushroom linguini and a mocha to keep me running. The food was YUM! I loved its creamy texture and saucy marinated chicken... the mushrooms were icing on the cake.

The mocha was so and so... THEY CHARGED ME EXTRA FOR ANOTHER SCOOP OF WHIPPED CREAM... WTH? MUA? I ALWAYS BAT MY EYELIDS AND GET AS MUCH CREAM AS MANY TIMES IN STARBUCKS!

Erm, quite the expensive bill but I felt the food was worth it!
Not the drinks though *So yes, its still overpriced
Home late a happy woman :)

ps: I can't be carrying my digi cam all around... its mobile uploads, thus the sucky quality :P

*Biting into the cloud of cheesy goodness*
I've had an extremely hectic week... Even the usually perky hair looks kinda wonky... Usually I've got dinner dates from the usual we-love-hunting-fab-food-aholics... little did I expect the BEST CHEESE NAAN EVER handed to me by ze Poopster. Mr.Poopster here is more of a 'I'll just have one muffin' kinda man... Crams food down in seconds and stares at me attempt to stuff it down my face just as fast.

He's told me once 'I'll take you to the best cheese naan!'... I was like 'Riiiggghhhttt... like I wouldn't have already found it'... NEVER IN MY WILDEST DREAMS... I COULD... WELL, MARRY THIS NAAN, MAKE SWEET LOVE, HAVE LITTLE NAAN BABIES, AND EAT THEM TOO FOR BREAKFAST :P It's fate really, THE RESTAURANT'S CALLED NATHAN'S!!!

It's supper, YES I WILL MENTION YOUR SPANKING NEW MYVI! I'm thrown into his new faux leather interior and whisked away into the night heading towards Old Klang Road... Being a bimbo when it comes to directions, I HAVE NO BLOODY IDEA where exactly it is. What I do know is... AMPLE MELTING CHEESE ON THE INSIDE... AMPLE SHREDDED SOUR CHEESE ON THE OUTSIDE... I took my time slurping each slice of cheesy goodness! Oblivious to the evil 'I've got to go to work tomorrow' looks I was getting.

I GIVE IT 5 STARS... Poops, ain't no food indulgence buddy... He may be a one eyed pirate *swollen eye thus no pics allowed... Constantly gives me that 'Come on... eat faster dammit WOMAN!' look... with this... He's been bumped up my list of kinda 'awesome' buddies :))

ps: Come on... Old Klang Road isn's so far swwwweeeettttiiiieeeee... SOMEONE GET ME THERE! ME WANNA!

pps: Poops... I'm a nice person... cute and all... you live there... you work here... TAPAO for me?

We head to One Noodle in SS2, PJ. It's easy to find... pretty huge. The noodle was YUMMY! I loved the subtle flavours and the chili sambal complimented the dish oh so well.

I slurped down the soup and got a free ride from my new driver... LTT in her sparkly car! DuDu, Wai San... Missed? Nah :P

*MUX*
I've been so busy juggling this and that... I've been unable to zZzZz well and it's the day before my midterm. I keep tossing and turning, the checklist of To-Do's keeps running through my head. I'M CLEARLY OVER MY HEAD... CHEWED TOO MUCH OFF ZE CAKE OF LIFE... DIPPED ME ARSE TOO DEEP INTO THE POOL... FDM/TDM/DWDM... you get my drift :))

It's the end of the week, I'm super tired... but I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP. Today, the body says NAY! I oversleep all day long to wake up to sms-es/miscalls of concern that I'm not where I should be. MY APOLOGIES to my multiple bosses! I can't think of catching up... I'll tackle them all once my paper is over tomorrow. Unlike last semester... I'm not stressed... I'm actually loving what I do but obviously it still takes so much of my time! MUST IMPRESS BRAINIAC LECTURERS... MUST FOOL THEM INTO ACCEPTING ME AS ONE OF THEIR SPECIES... ElectroMaGnetics... my precious :-*

ps: Moral of the story... I am not the energizer bunny... Mum screams 'YOU WANT TO COLLAPSE!!!!'... Make it a point to have a reasonable amount of rest eh... SLEEP IS GOOOOOOOOOOD :)

pps: Wah,dreams do come true... finally a man... THAT'S NOT MY DAD... wants to take me to the opera! I've got the puuurfect black halter dress with a white satin bow for the event *jumps clicking heels together.

*La Passion / Day 5.3*
I realised something today. Along the path of self searching, I've stumbled across this profession not by choice but things just really clicked as the days went by. I'm a tutor to kids, lab demonstrator/tutor to undergrads and research assistant to lecturers. *Yes, I know only kiasu people get to teach in UM.

So far, being in academics is a means for me to stay out of the rat race and yet be able to earn the equivalent $ in shorter hours. I've always had the corporate ice queen dream like every high flying ambitious woman. It's always been at the back of my mind as another option. I NOW KNOW THAT I LOVE TEACHING!

Bah Humbug to those who think it's an easy profession. KISS MY CHUTNEY! LETS SEE YOU DO IT. The students smell the smallest bit of stupidity a mile away. Knowing your stuff in and out isn't easy. To add to that, it seems that the academic profession is one with an extremely high moral ground. There's no room to be money money money-ish, hold one's head high ALWAYS, never be fake, the hunger for knowledge... knowledge is power! CURIOSITY KILLED THE CAT NOT THE LECTURER :P

ps: These are pics of the Kolam Mandi Taman Sari,Jogja. The King used to watch women bathe below as he picked his next 'victim'. GEORGOUS clear blue water. I tried to swiftly toss my clothes off to reveal a diva-ish gold bikini sprinkled with real gold dust and hop in hoping the King would pick me... but it seems he's monogamous now :))

TQ for reading... Toodles!

*Valentines Extravaganza*
I was in for a loooooong day as I always do every weekend. I had lectures from 10- 5pm *Phew, I'm totally arse whopped T.I.R.E.D this week... Heheh, you wanted it, now you've got it... there you go, Subash... you're in my uber cool blog now :)) Ahem, is that your soulmate? The matchy stripy shirt Punjabi hunk?

I was heading to KLCC for a mystery dinner :)) I GET A FREE RIDE OBVIOUSLY! Premjit snores in Jewel's lab as he awaits me... which is so shocking because it's table sleeping and bloody hell I think the disease is spreading through the MEng course like fire *I thought I was the only one perfecting the skill!

The boys go off to watch Slumdog *no, its not gay to watch a movie together! I head off to dinner and have yummy pizza and pasta! The pizza was gone so fast I barely had time to snap a pic. It's a stall in the middle of KLCC's foodcourt. Yummy thus recommended!

I head home half asleep... grinning like an idiot at the fact that Valentines is consumerism at its highest... it practically says 'BE A MAN...BUY HER ROSES/DIAMONDS/CHOCS/CAKES... etc etc. Hmmm, being a girl does come with its perks *super cheesy grin....KaaaaaChhiiing!
ps: In a continuous loop...the words 'I don't have a date today!'... again and again from the people around me... Is it really so bad being part of the singleton clan? YOU'RE GONNA BE MARRIED FOR E.T.E.R.N.I.T.Y!!! I think all one needs is an attitude adjustment. LOVE IS AAAAALLLL AROUND! Family, friends, snuggleboy...the list goes one. Why feel unloved eh? Wrap that bundle of self pity and fling it out the window... muaaaaaaxxxxxxx!

*Oh Sweet Valentine*
Valentines day is the day to remind singles that YES, WE MAY NOT GET CUDDLED...BUT HELL YEAH I'M GOING TO CELEBRATE IT WITH THE PERSON WHO'S LOVED ME MOST....MEEEEEEEEE!!!

Here's my VALENTINE countdown list :

1. I strongly believe in dating and choosing the best fish in the sea :) Yes, I'm P.I.C.K.Y... I don't see the point of man hopping. I don't think there is love at first sight @ Tamil movie syndrome. I truly believe in the power of being close friends, being comfortable in spilling deep secrets knowing there isn't judgement, understanding one another, SIMPLE FACT... THE FRIEND THAT'S ALWAYS COME THROUGH FOR YOU... dating *just dates... all sorts of personalities because it's the strength of character of a man that matters most to me even if he doesn't realise it.

2. It's something you discover as you slowly start to realise the superficialities of the teenage world. Little did we know that you need a strong, inspiring, mentally & emotionally strong partner to achieve great heights in life. A PRETTY FACE AND MONEY WILL DEPLETE IN VALUE AS THE YEARS GO BY :P I've learnt that attraction and compatibility are two different things. That's an adult relationship that will last through all stormy nights.

3. I just cannot... cannot feel less than absolutely B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L... I'm curvy in all the right places, I have sexy olive skin, boobs and a booty women pay good $$$ for, curly thick hair, and a bouncy active brain too... I WILL CHANGE FOR NO ONE!!! :P Everyday someone reminds me of how a smile and a warm heart is the prettiest thing a woman can have. It's irresistable. Now if only someone would pass the message to the rest of the self hating men/women.

4. MEN ARE ON TO US... THEY SEEM TO BE GETTING BETTER AT THE 'HUNT A WOMAN DOWN' PLOT... Weekly report of a typical singleton: This week Monday, a man asked me out after staring at me for quite a while, says he'd like to have a date in my lab...I laughed and said No :)) Tuesday, I have my weekly stalker...he hunts me down all the way to a cafe in KL Sentral... Wednesday, the taxi man tells me I'm too pretty to be anywhere near the engineering faculty... Thursday, the JAYA ONE security guard looks like he's about to arrest me and Porkchop then proceeds to say' Since you're cute, you're free to go'. MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE SO EARNEST, INSTEAD OF PUTTING ON A STRAIGHT FACE AND SAYING NO... I GIGGLE AND GIGGLE MY ARSE OFF.

5. YOU WILL NOT COMPLETE ME... THAT'S MOVIE CRAP... Be happy first, fixing yourself through another person doesn't work, a partner is only there to enhance the experience! INTELLIGENT CONVERSATIONS... NOT SEX... will keep us together! WHAT DO YOU MEAN NORMAL RELATIONSHIPS LOSE THEIR PIZZAZZ? La Passion should burn till we're old and toothless. YOU WILL LOVE ME JUST AS I AM *Aaaah Darcy! Not thinner, taller, smarter or richer. I KNOW YOU ARE THE ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR WHEN YOU BELIEVE IN ME... after all that's the very most important thing in a partner!

I come from a family of equals. Most of my aunts, uncles, cousins have married partners of similar professions. Usually about the same age give or take one two years. The example I choose to follow is, with equals, partners push one another to strive for the best because they understand and are able to produce great advice. MR.PREMEELA, HONEY YOU DESERVE A GIRL LIKE ME... DON'T PASS ME BY... I'LL SHOW YOU HEAVEN... SO MUCH HEAVEN... TAKE ME HOME...TAKE ME HOME... NOW IS THE TIME TO FOLLOW ME... I won't settle for Number 2... gimme a call next Valentine then :P (Sophie Ellis Bextor!)

ps: Boys are so super smart these days... I've agreed to food totally not realising it's Valentines because I'm so busy with work and studies. Said yes, smacks head *Homer Simpson-ish... Doh! Will just have to keep it 'casual' .Yes, THAT'S HOW I know that Saturday is Valentines :))

Chewed through the 'penjara' grill Dad made to keep him out. Bum so posh, he's gotta poo on expensive sand stones. Whines like a big old baby. Screams like death when it storms. *Wee lil kid Prem*
When I moved to PeeJay at the age of 9... Little did I know that so many of the people I went to school with would grow up to be CEO's, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Lecturers, Leaders!

My dad got me into PeeJay's most wanted school... SRI PETALING... it's like the primary school where you get the privileges of a private education without having to pay the $$$. EVERYONE WAS JUST ABOUT FILTHY RICH/ COUNTRY LEADERS FOR PARENTS/ BRAINIACS... My parents had to do everything they could to get me into the school... in the end, god bless Dad knew the principal and lil Prem began her journey. The school was kept on a close watch under University Malaya and constantly hit number 1 in exams... Sigh, looking at it today hurts a little, the standard has gone down, no longer under the watchful eye of UM, buildings unkept, unsightly colours.

I owe the beginnings of having the sense of confidence to be myself from SRI AMAN, yet another high school with private school-ish atmosphere. Extremely hard to get into but SRI PETALING kids get a free pass. We were competitive, bimbo-tic, fierce, independent, non judgemental, horribly rebelious, in a grand bubble of girl fun. We were termed Puteri-Puteri Sri Aman after all :))

I did it all in my high school years... you name it... cut class & my dad was summoned to school, became a rogue librarian with the ultimate posse, joined every club known to mankind, BLOODY LONG PERHIMPUNANS, ate ice kacang for rehat, pretended to have study groups instead sneak to malls for movies, crushed on gazillion boys & not paying attention in tuition, won tickets to tons of concerts, met tons of bands thanks to my uncle in RTM *yeap Westlife,911,BBMak,98 Degree, Boyzone, Savage Garden... you name it :P

Made friends... lost friends,.. Got caught and went to detention with the 'gang', secret pact... pierced our ears together... 1,2,3 TIMES... THE BLOODY SCHOOL BUS THAT I MISSED ALL THE TIME... pretending to be sick so I could skip school, wearing uber cool outfits to school when we were meant to wear school uniform, SWEET 16 HUGE PARTIES!!! cheerleading tryouts, march pass and how I was always the screamer 'Kiri! Kiri! Kanan! Kiri!', so posh/spoilt our fav spots for lunch were Secret Recipe/Starbucks/ Coffee Bean, heading to Porkchop's house to chill out during Merentas Desa because it was on the way :)) Heading to Porkchops's house to do anything illegal... all THE GIRLY SLUMBER PARTIES!!!

WAS I COOL... OBVIOUSLY! AM I STILL JUST AS COOL... HELL YEAH! WHAT I DO KNOW IS PEOPLE STILL TOTALLY REMEMBER ME :)) Gaya never gets recognised :P I'M STILL BEST FRIENDS WITH MY SRI AMAN/ SRI PETALING GANG! *I've always had a a multi racial bunch of buddies... It'll never change! Today I look around and the 'naughty' crowd seems to have made an absolute success out of themselves! Thanks to my parents utter determination, tons of $$$ spent, it's embedded in me to be myself... the ultimate combo of NERD + BIMBO... cos I'm Fabulous :)

YES, I WAS A BLOODY LIBRARIAN... YES, I AM NOW AN ENGINEER *awww, come on, you guys got to stop laughing... BET YOU THOUGHT I'D END UP IN TANJUNG RAMBUTAN...I mean ahem, HOSPITAL BAHAGIA :))

ps: My old classmate uploaded this on Facebook...thus prompting me down memory lane :) THAT'S ME IN THE FRONT ROW ;P I'M NUMBER 1!

pps: Heroes Volume 4... OMG Nathan & Peter still not getting along?... *wipes drool/sweat... makes them both so so much yummier :-*

*Day 5.2*

I now head to the Sultan's Palace where the current members of the monarchy still lives. From my travels what I can truly claim to appriciate being a Malaysian is the number of languages one picks up. Since I was able to understand Bahasa Indon, I tagged along with this Indon family and had the best tour guide ever!

The place is filled with interesting history facts. Definitely a place to visit if you want to know JogJa in and out! You realise that King's of the golden era had gazillion wives and babies sprouting out everywhere. You get to feel what it means to be royal. The clothes they wear. The lifestyle they lead.

The thing that struck me the most was the amount of local Indon families that were spending the day getting to know history. It is a huge place filled with multiple museums. Its something one doesn't see with Malaysians. They have an immense sense of pride for their King and Queen.

ps: Obviously there are times I just have no freaking idea what the tour guide is saying when she's speaking so fast in Bahasa Indon. When she brought me to the museum of the ye olde King's wardrobe, she explained something and I was like 'Huh?' Then she proceeds to split her legs, move her hands up in Grease like fashion and say 'Oooooouuuuuuu!'. Then I get the joke! She's saying the only one that still wears these is Wacko Jacko Micheal Jackson :))

pps: I WATCHED SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE... verdict? LOVED .... LURVED IT! First, FANTASTIC MUSIC by A.R.Rahman! Second, DEV PATEL...uber cute! Sometimes I just don't get the Oscars like Halle Berry winning for blurgh of a performance. Maybe I'm a tad bit biased being a proud brown woman :P With the news constantly airing the situation in Sri Lanka... children are caught in between for god sakes... we've still got family there and its absolutely scary to think what my life would have been if granny didn't head to Malaysia.

I've felt a little of what life would be like in situations as such especially backpacking across Thailand. People do whatever it takes to get money out of you. THEY BELIEVE IT'S THEIR DAMN RIGHT TO RIP YOU OFF YOUR MONEY because Msia's currency is worth more. Salim's character as the older brother resonated with me. The night we were stranded there not knowing when or how we'd get back to Msia, I got a taste of people not giving a rats arse and being the older sibling... having to remain calm , fearless and get me & my sis out of there asap.

The love tale is touching and all but I think the movie speaks to people because everyone FEARS what life would be like $ - less. Why is Who wants to be a Millionaire so popular in India? It sells the fantasy of riches to an extremely poor country.

*Vel! Vel!*
Have a great Thaipusam y'all!

ps: Some people have no shame and are able to do just about anything *I mean that in a good way...I still have that 'bit' of pride that needs to go into the dump :P This person I know is a fabulous business woman + mum + wife thanks to her 'no shame in begging' life motto. She does whatever it takes to complete her mission really.

She's obsenely rich but not a snob at all. She doesn't care about the money, it's the pasion for the job that keeps her engines running. You know how some believe success is a finite value... thus green with envy is a norm....not her! She's always willing to dish out business tips and hand me a helping hand. She just happens to be my boss :)) Keeps me in good company. In awe & inspired!

pps: HIGH-larious line on SCRUBS... so true for me :)) 'I grew up on the streets, man...not the hood...Sesame Street' :)) I loved Cookie Monster...he's so Mr.Premeela material. C is for Cookie!

*Day 5.1*
So I wake up early morning to meet my tour guide... obviously with no one spanking me awake I over sleep and am running out for my free breakfast at 10am... my guide is here and I beg for a few moments to have breakfast.

*TRAVEL TIP*
Its not about how fat you are! Its about being healthy and having tons of energy to hike up historic sites. EAT! Have the biggest breakfast you can think of. You want to stretch every penny paid for the trip don't you? So eat up for long days out.

Location 1: Prambanan

It's the ancient site just about 30mins away from the main city of Jogja is dedicated to the trinity lords in Hinduism, Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. As a child, I learnt in the equivalent of the Christians 'Sunday School' for Hindus that Brahma is the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer.

There should be six main structures. Each dedicated to the trinity lords and their divine 'vahanas' which are their vehicle animals. Beautiful carvings of the tale of Krishna surrounds the main temple of Vishnu. Krishna believed to be the reincarnation of Vishu on earth leads the Mahabaratha. One gets to see the beginnings of Krishna... his birth, the great escape, a ladies man, the guardian of Arjuna, the hero of the Mahabaratha.

COMPLICATED? If its difficult as a free thinker to phantom why Hindus pray to stone sculptures, think of it this way. I get this question constantly from my friends of other religions. Obviously a stone is a stone carved or painted. It's just a symbol. We have many different forms representing various parts of life. Each god/goddess gives you the strength to tackle yet another hurdle in your life.

Close to the legendary Gunung Merapi, it's sad that an earth quake has destroyed parts of Prambanan. Its being restored today and I am hopeful of visiting it once again in its full form.

ps: Spotted this one as I studied the carvings... erm, HOOORAH FOR FEMINISTS! Nothing to be traumatised over... we did invent the Karma Sutra after all :))

pps: Yes it sucks that being a city girl comes with a lot of nights out catching up with pals & family and I DON'T HAVE A CAR! I throw a hissy fit once in a while but the bottom line is, the fact that I'm self employed gives me a sense of job security. Though, UM has cut down on part time tutors from 57 ---> 17 people. God bless, I'm good at what I do *sticks tongue out.

Stop asking me if my parents/relatives finance my lifestyle. It's down right insulting. I've been successfully cut off since I was 18 with a scholarship. Not a penny from em! I am in no way a rich brat. Don't give me that she's cute and gets what she wants either. I'VE BLOODY WORKED MY ARSE OFF FOR WHAT I'VE GOT *can't believe some men think this way... DOOFUS. I'm a woman on a mission and I work for what I want. Anything I do, is financed by me alone.

Thus, not having a car/house loan is just fantastic at times like these. I'm young enough not to have any debt either. No insurans hooplah. Before I sound too big headed, I'm blessed as well with good choices. This allows me to do the diva-ish stuff I really want to spend my time on. EDUCATE MYSELF... UPGRADE MYSELF... TRAVEL... SHOP... EAT... BOOTY SHAKE... SOAK UP ALL THAT IS FUN!
There...I've cleared the air :)

I hear the silent screams of my pals in the Electronic field... hang in there kitty! WORK SMART NOT HARD! It's all about proving you're worth the $$$ and being indispensable!

Next: The Sultan's Palace and The Royal House of Batik!

*Is it me? Is it you?*
Spoke to an old friend today... my confidante in times of need... its been months... felt a different vibe... I felt different... I FELT LIKE THE BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY :))

All humour aside... I think the year's changed me... my quirkiness is bleeding out and I can't stop it... in fact I'm tempted to embrace it. I always was 'Willy Wonka' insane-ish... just kept it under a tight lid... It sounded like you thought I was nuts...wacko jacko. We were all so in tune for a long time. Yes, I know the economy is horrible but that doesn't mean you can't sprinkle some fairy dust over yourself.

People are so... for the lack of a better word 'UnFun!'. The life's drained out of you. Will the conformist still stand by me as friends when the day comes that I'd still be a crazy happy hippy and you'd be a CEO? I'd grumble and say 'You used to be cool, man!' as I shimmy off in my bedazzled dress. Would you turn around and whisper 'CooKoo..Bonkers'.

ps: I have this fantastic absolutely weird lecturer *very CSI Grissom-ish...that sexy bug loving beast!... and I think he's fab but the rest of the faculty thinks he's wacko because he dresses differently, knows wicked facts and has had an adventure of a life. He's smuggled lasers from China in his youth :)) They say/sneer/smirk 'He's a lil nuts..stay away from him'... my calm exterior betrays the horror within... could that be me in years to come?

ps: Soon BBF Lata will be home to tell me what I need to hear 'Its not us... its them, Premeela!'...did I mention I missed you tons and can't wait for your plane to land *Muuuuuuaaaaaxxxxxxx

*Day 4.2*

Well, I'm still determined to finish my Indon journal before beginning to describe my Thailand adventure :P

Its the day Porkchop's flown back to Msia... she sends me an email 'I'm home safe! Smooth flight!'. I've just arrived in Location 2, Yogyakarta... pronounced as Jogja by the local people. I felt at home the moment I stepped foot in Jogja really.

Yes, its a tourist spot but you don't feel the $$$ mentality amongst the hotel & tourist companies. They are people of culture and art. I later come to realise, extremely intelligent and makes for great conversations.

I checked into Duta Guest house at about 9pm. Hungry and alone. I was determined to seek out my own adventure minus La Porkchop. I ask the desk as to nearby cafes, I needed caffeine and food. I find this charming cafe, Ministry of Coffee! Love at first sight!

I'm a posh girl living in her multi job world so fabulous cafes with affordable prices are just what I love. This place offers a great range of coffee... WHAT DID I HAVE? ITS XMAS... I TRY THE ALL TIME FAMOUS EGGNOG! GOD IT WAS YUM YUM!!!

Why did I dedicate an entry to this mundane coffee shop? Its got this F.A.B library upstairs... you sit in the corner by huge glass windows giving you a view of Jogja in its glory. I read up on Jogja's history so I'd soak up on knowledge tomorrow as I visit the sites.

Then of course, I have a seat and browse through the ever teaching, Mahabaratha. As a child, I've read the Ramayana and Mahabaratha tons of times. My father and family constantly travelled to India so I had huge stacks of Indian Literature, the fun comic version Amar Chitra Katha. It was interesting to read the Bahasa Indonesia version. After hours of reading, I head back to my room and await the journey tomorrow :)

ps: For all your temple visits... Do you question why you say the mantras you do? Why do you perform the ceremonies you do? Does it make sense or are you just bound by tradition? Why do you fast? Does it create kindness and goodness in one's heart? Are you making the world a better place by twirling around 3 times? Are starving children fed? Are women educated? Or it it purely selfish? I believe, the fault of many Hindus of today.

pps: OMG... The Fray is back... double loved their album... have a listen to You Found Me *oh so sweet :) Like Coldplay, the words are always so true.

*Le Traditional Familia*

Its wedding season and here's bits and pieces of the razzle dazzle!

The most important of the season was the wedding of my oldest cousin brother. An extremely silent thus proves frighteningly intelligent man. I got all my books as a child from him thus sparking the love for reading. He hopped his way to a scholarship in Ireland and graduated as a doctor by 21... now a specialist... a lecturer in UM... HE'S A BLOODY TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW! So when you wonder why I'm an over achiever... like DUH... have a peek at the rest of the family, you can't help but strive for the B.E.S.T :P

Being a socialite is tough... all the primping and lessons...
HOW DOES PARIS HILTON DO IT? :))

*Mum's BDay*

It's Mum's Birthday, the day after me & BooBoo got back from the unexpected le grande adventure which was Thailand. We knew we were in deep doo doo... a lot of explaining had to be done... my aunts were furious... The entire Kandiah family was pretty much stuck in panic mode for the past 48 hours. Haih, the world is back to norm once again :)

We head home to cut yummy Secret Recipe cake *the only place open during CNY. Then proceed to my cousin bro's place to check on the wedding hooplah *he's to be wed the next evening!

Siva shows the doofus clan how to tie the traditional male kilt-ish so it doesn't slide off while the wedding takes place... PRICELESS MEMORIES :))

ps: They couldn't get it right so the poor man hired to prep the groom had to buckle up and dress dozens of men hours before the wedding :))
