*Day 1.3*

The night slowly approaches...Day 1 is coming to an end...with soon to be bruised arses *me booty was perky thanks to yoga but now its ridiculously 'buns of steel-ish' thanks to all that walking and climbing...
We the women blessed with the spirit of adventure soldier on to Suan Lum Night Bazaar! Getting there is extremely easy. We just hop on Bangkok's Skytrain at the Weekend Market and it stops right at the Night Bazaar :)

Here's the first thing we noticed on the train...MUAHAHAHAH! Can you believe...still...there was this poor monk left standing right infront of me :P

We step out of the Skytrain...walk toward the main road and OH WHAT DO WE SEE...JUST INCASE I SMUGGLE SPECIAL BROWNIES HOME AND GET CAUGHT? MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Entering the night bazaar was a huge dissapointment really. I do not recommend this as a hotspot! According to friends, it used to be popular at one time but seems to have fizzled to just a huge food court.

It's one of those places you gather with mates late night for a gulp of beer and drunken laughs till the wee hours. We didn't have that luxury because we had to cram in sufficient zZzZzZz for tomorrow is a looooooong day! We grabbed some Tom Yum of course *we were bordering on starvation by that time.

DAMMIT! PREMA'S VEGETARIAN TOM YUM WAS YUMMIER!!!! WTH?

Not only was my tummy tum tum happy...my entire being radiated with happiness from the days buys :P We headed back to the hotel and hopped under the comfy sheets for a great snore. LORD IT WAS SOOOO COMFY! We got extra pillows too!

What can I say but... I snored like the porker I am... little did I know of the MOST FANTABULOUS YUMMILICIOUS DROOL WORTH BREAKFAST TO COME!

Well, yes...we have a huge family but the male cousins weren't pretty enough to be included either year :P

ps: In the spirit of sisterhood...for BooBooWabbit...His Royal Hotness...here's the yummy dishy man the Nathan sisters believe is most ogle worthy for the moment ...Richard Armitage... mmmmmmmm.... leather. He's gotta voice that causes every sensible woman to self-combust... How does an English man seem so Bollywood swoon worthy? Gotta be the hair :P *spank...bad boys..NO...good guys...YES...Never fear...We're capable of multi-ogling *teeheehee...girly giggle fit.

See...see..he's got my smile too *melts into a puddle of goo

*Day 1.2*

Firstly... why was my status elevated in Bangkok?

Because I was a freaking thousand-naire!

Now I'm back to being a small time normal hundred -naire in Msia

Just isn't fair...momentary power only to be taken away :(

We're all settled into our room...we've got the day planned out. Off to the Chatuchak Weekend Market!

Tip: If you're travelling backpack style...head to the information counter at your hotel and spill what's been planned for the trip. They will help you with transportation and suggestions of more efficient ways to complete all intended destinations.

When I say, I came home a slightly changed person it means...WTH HAVE I BEEN PAYING MORE THAN RM20 FOR ANYTHING IN MALAYSIA ALL MY LIFE FOR??? I was shaken all the way down to my shallow shopaholic core! I WAS A KID IN CANDY LAND! People everywhere are oh so fashionable! WHY? COS ITS SO BLOODY CHEAP TO BE SO!

In Malaysia bargain markets like Petaling Street sell crap! Here, you can get all you need without looking like a bargain hunter...it could have very well have been from upscale KLCC :P I was sooooooo H.A.P.P.Y *Huge ginormous grin. Thing is I hate buying anything from malls because its so common...boutiques are more unique. I grabbed all I could and watched as my moolah $$$ flew fast!

The weather was absolutely H.O.T...THERE WAS NO WAY A WOMAN COULD LOOK DECENT IN SITUATIONS LIKE THESE :P Thus, to make up for the weather...you need FOOD!!! GLORIOUS FOOD! Papaya salad... mango sticky rice... durian ice cream... dim sum... everything! MANGO STICKY RICE WITH SANTAN KELAPA...*mmmmm... me likey very very much.

Er, explain this to me....City girl --->me....leaves her city life in search of enlightenment in Bangkok...flies across the seas....seems Petaling Jaya,PJ CORNER is pretty famous here too :P Aaaaah, PeeJay people, we're awesome all around the globe aren't we :P

I'm totally sunburnt and on a shopping high...we see a man in the corner drawing...we inch closer...Lata says 'Come on...lets do it!' We sit on these ridiculously small neon coloured chair fitting one arse cheek and balancing the other as to not break the chair.

I try to be all poised...you know...Kate Winslet-ish as Leo draws her...minus the nude bit of course :P He tells me to stop giggling so much...stares at my face and starts drawing...I sit in suspense...slowly one by one the crowd builds around us...WHY DO PEOPLE WANT TO SEE MY PIC? More and more people come...we're surrounded by Thai people...a man gives me a thumbs up, grinning to say its turning out great.

Well, it doesn't look much like me without my stupid big grin...so now I know...the artist looks at me and says...BIG BOOBIES WITH A BOOTY TO MATCH... MESSY CURLS... SPARKLY NOSE STUD... OOGLING MEN TAGGING ALONG *Oh to be cursed with my irrissistable sexy Indian curves :P

I laughed soooooo hard that day! Me and Lata have spent the past 7 years giggling together...everytime I saw her balance her left out butt cheek on the tiny chair...I roared with laughter...tears streaming down my face...this was another notch in our sisterhood :))

*DAY 1.1*

Well, my Bangkok trip began with a B.A.N.G! The LRT was delayed by nearly an hour...I was stuck awaiting dad to whisk me away to KL Sentral bus that was about to leave in 10 minutes. * CRAP...we sped like the wind and reached at 7.27am...3 minutes away from departure time * PHEW!

I ran for my life into the AirAsia bus...the lil song in my head 'I AM A GOING...TO A BANGKOK...' Next, thanks to Lata...we nearly miss our flight...the voice squeals through the airport 'Premeela you are the last customer to board blah blah flight. Please proceed to the plane'. People turn to us and I see the dissaproving look in their faces. We were seated next to the wrong line *blush...GOD BLESS...I STILL GOT A WINDOW SEAT...ooooh cotton candy clouds here I come!

Yeay! We've landed...the Bangkok airport is beautiful! We hopped into a cab and headed to check into our hotel.

The room was serene...simple and it came with what a girl needs...A HAIRDRYER! *screams HHHAAALLLEEEELLLUUUUYYAAHHH! My hair was a curly mess after the flight!

We scramble downstairs to the hotel's BREATH TAKING cafe *so beautiful...I loved it! We gulped down our welcome drink...YUMMY PINEAPPLE FRESH JUICE *slurp.

ENGINEERS + VACATION =

HIGHLY 'ORGANISED' &

THINK WE'RE FAR TOO INTELLIGENT TO READ BROSHURES/BOOKS/MAPS

*So yes...predict the horror to come

ps: Manic Street Preachers Live In Singapore :(( NoOoOoOo...Your love alone... is not enough...when will we get quality music I wonder :(

OMG, its paradise for shopaholics...in the clouds I was...swimming in an ocean of style...running in the meadow of fashion...clearly I was broke by the second day *deep blush! God bless Lata was willing to loan me a ton of $$$ to continue *TQ TQ FOR THE RED SHOES :P

*Books...Glorious Books!*
Yippeeddeedooodaaah...as I whizz from house to house for the annual Deepavali celebrations *WTH? Ceyloneses have huge families :P We gotta visit em all! ...I paused for an hour or two to head to the MPH warehouse sale!

SO FREAKING HAPPY!!! I was a cheetah on the prowl for books I'd wanted for ages. I decided to hell with the $$$, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

1. Hidden in a dusty box at the corner I found another two books to add to my Artemis Fowl series :P Yeah yeah its kiddie...but I lurve fairies & trolls. I've gotta hunt two more down!

2. Arundhati Roy, the booker prize winner from India wrote The God of Small Things. I've always passed by it and sighed. Didn't want to fork out the money. Now its half the price :)

3. Another classic I've been looking for by the Bronte sisters. Wuthering Heights!

4. Man Booker Prize 08 Shortlisted novel The Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh is another fantastic book I've been dreaming of getting my grubby paws on. Yeay!

5. I actually own the 2nd book in the trilogy so I decided to get the 1st one too *yeah duh :P

Short talk: OMG...I severely dissaprove the recent state of drama-dom...everything goes crappy after a while doesn't it :( Seem to prefer watching reruns of golden oldies that were so much better...Six Feet Under, X-Files, Sex & the City, Rome, Frasier, Raymond, Simpsons... Ruin happened to the best of em... Heroes, Lost, Greys, Prison Break. Well, I'm a happy camper because I still have the few that I enjoy sipping my cup of Vanilla tea and having marathons... House, CSI LA, The Office, 30 Rock, Ugly Betty, Earl, Monk, Bones...yeehaw, series 7 of Spooks begins tomorrow *wipes drool

It has been said that if you know your enemy and you know yourself,

you need not fear the result of a hundred battles!

*Foozball's Married!!!*

NoooooooOOOOOOooooo....WHY LORD WHY!

She ain't our Foozball no longer :(

She who quotes ' I hate boys...boys suck

I'm never getting married!'

She was so beautiful...I told her she looked like a doll and I couldn't recognise her tomboy personality in all that pretty makeup & gown. Then she proceeded to scream at her neice 'Saya tampar awak baru tahu!' Aaaaah Sal was still alive & kicking :P

I had an exam...dashed home...Porkchop was already waiting in my hall with mum to entertain her. I hopped into my LBD and we rushed to Sal's place.

PSE GANG REUNITED!

*Lord knows I can't believe I ever was one :P

She's the first in our close knit gang of four to get hitched...only Bea couldn't make it :( We sat in a circle talking of all the naughty naughty stuff we did in high school....I swear I can't believe the things we got away with. Detention, Cutting school lessons, Sneaking off to the nearest mall, Stalking cute boys, Getting our ears pierced together, Sharing Ice Kacang, Balik kampung to Johor, Gossiping all night long...the usual teenage high school rebel stuff :P

She's recently dealt with so much sadness in her life. It was a blast seeing her oh so happy *sniff sniff. There was a time we were 11 years old kids squealing as we were smacked on the head by her notorious brothers...girly slumber parties...poooof the years have gone by!

CONGRATS FOOZBALL!!!

*I'M BACK!*

I must admit I was a little..teeny weeny bit afraid with the riots and all...but I'm back though it was just 3 days...a slightly changed person. I've been shaken to the core really.

I believe that by travelling one slowly steps out of his/her little bubble of a world. It allowed me to gain a far better perspective of Asians. I'm so proud to be part of wonderful Asia...bah humbug to the Western culture...clearly dull in comparison to Golden Bangkok :P

My friends tell me...adventure follows you doesn't it! IT CLEARLY DID THIS TIME...it could have very well been an episode of the Amazing Race. We walked till our arses hurt, brains overloaded with sights and information, shopped till my purse bled, tummies filled with foodie delights.

I swear BANGKOK WILL REMEMBER US AS WELL AS WE REMEMBER IT! We did oh so much in so little time making friends along the way and embaressing the hell out of ourselves along the way. In short...

ABSOLUTELY FANTABULOUS

ps: Play by Play details to come. Oh, I am at the mercy of Lata...she's the one with all the pics! Sooooon my precious.

*Top Movies List!*
Okay, yes I should be cracking my textbook open...the devil on my shoulder whispers 'You can watch a movie as you flip the pages...of course you'll remember what you read'.

So in honour of my lack of studying principles...here's my fav movies! I can watch these in a loop and never get tired!

1. DUH...ALL HAIL...LORD OF THE RINGS

I remember the excitement...Awaiting the next in the E.P.I.C series release...I actually scored tickets to the premiere party of the final movie *it pays being popular ,being one of the first few people around the world to watch it!

The book I used to read in the loo...I'd imagine wonderful places I could escape to with my mind. I own all three extended DVD's and must have watched em thousands of times :)

I grew into a woman with these movies...I started off being a teeny bopper loving pretty Legolas...and by the final film...I was a full fledged woman in love with manly rugged Aragon *drools

2. LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

I know its a foreign film. Give it a chance. Its got the right balance of all emotions. Set during the Holocaust. Benigni plays his role brilliantly. It brings you to tears and makes you laugh in one go. In the end, you appriciate the sense of peace our generation has come to know.

3. SOUND OF MUSIC

Aw,come on...isn't it on everyone's list? No one beats Julie Andrews...the music was fantastic. It had real romance, where the she and the captain slowly fell in love. Not many movies can compare.

4. FORREST GUMP

Simple...My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." Beautiful tale of triumph when all the odds are against you. Run Forrest...Run!

5. MOULIN ROUGE

Well, my Indian roots have driven me into anything sparkly and filled to the brim with drama...well Bollywood-ish! It is a sumptuous feast for the ears and eyes featuring gorgeous costumes, intricate sets. Sexy dance numbers.

6. BEAUTIFUL MIND

I love math...I adore the way the story unfolds...the moment you realise it was all in his head after all.

7. THE MATRIX

Just the first one in the trilogy please. Mind opening...yeah! The world is slowly moving to a place where people just prefer to conform to expectations placed by society. Might as well be programmed by machines? I know I have wild views on how I choose to live my life :P

8. GREASE (*wee...our generation...HAIRSPRAY!)

Lord, how does that man move the way he does? He will always be number 1 booty shaker to me! Plus point is the music is by the BEGEES!

9. DISNEY FAVs (Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, Nemo,Ratatouille)

10. PAN'S LABYRINTH (LABERINTO DEL FAUNO)

I admit I watched it because of all the hype surrounding it. Story revolves around a little girl that discovers secrets of a labyrinth. I was in awe. Beautifully shot and fantastic acting. You must watch it!

11. BRIDGET JONES DIARY (*can I bundle LOVE ACTUALLY here too?)

No self respecting woman hasn't seen this one! I see myself in Bridget at times. Mostly its the hunky 'manly' fight sequence between Colin Firth & Hugh Grant that got me hooked.

Hold it...can I bundle all period drama's/miniseries/movies here? Pride & Prejudice, North & South, Persuasion, Sense and Sensibility, Jane Eyre, Mansfield Park, Becoming Jane,Northanger Abbey...far too many :))

12. FINDING NEVERLAND

Yes, Johnny Depp is MANCANDY. I liked it because its a brilliant film...not the mancandy :P The story centers around J. M. Barrie, creator of Peter Pan, and his journey to writing Peter Pan. It highlights his genius, while also showing the painful isolation that comes with being a mind ahead of your time.

13. GLADIATOR (*Troy/300 never came close!)

The recreation of ancient Rome is splendid. Fast paced. Filled with love, jealousy, hatred and loyalty.

14. THE PIANIST

The Pianist is the true story of Wladyslaw Szpilman, at the time Poland's most acclaimed pianist whose life is transformed during the Nazi occupation. A little slow moving but suprisingly I wasn't disturbed by it. Such a long timeline fit into a short movie. Adrien Brody was amazing.

15. THE GREEN MILE

The best adaptation of a Stephen King novel. Its an extremely touching movie. Watch it just for the cast.

Worthy mentions are : Narnia, Potter series, Mary Poppins, The Wizard of Oz, Kill Bill : Volume 1, Catch Me if You Can, Enchanted, Chicago, Gone with the Wind, Little Miss Sunshine, The Godfather, The Silence of the Lambs, Fight Club, L.A. Confidential, The Nightmare before Chrismas, Chocolate, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Billy Elliot, The Prestige, Trainspotting.

I AM A MOVIE SNOB & PROUD OF IT TOO!

ps: I do have a separate list for my fav Asian movies...it wouldn't fit into a list of 10 :P

The lil girl, princess Prem in me...couldn't resist it :P Its soooo much shinier & sparkly in real life!

When I was a kid, my parents made me my own sticker album...easy, two coloured paper for the front & back, then recycle old sticker holding papers for the pages between!

I HAD THE GRANDEST MOST FANTABULOUS STICKER COLLECTION ...I forgot about it along the way, teenage angst and all...but I couldn't resist these two with its HEART, HEELS, PRINCESS CROWN & DIAMOND RING :P

*Blush*
I've heard so many one liners from men...it began the day I grew bosoms & a glorious booty :)) Most of them makes one gasp in horror...some make for fantastic jokes when with the girls...but this line...I JUST HAD TO SHARE IT!

It had just the right blend of cheekiness and sweetness :))
After a few minutes of conversation...this C.U.T.E manly man I've bumped into once before says this me...There was no way this line could have been planned... 'You smile alot eh? You know, in my religion, it states that when a person smiles...you've done a selfless service to that person smiled at by giving them a dose of happiness!'

Me <--- 'Heheh, really...never heard that one before' *blush blush... feels selfless like Mother Teresa

Then he proceeds 'Your husband's gonna be pretty lucky to get smiled at so often'

Me <--- just stands and giggles *oh lord, such a sucker for cheesiness

He gets cheeky and I get the 'Can I have your number?' line.

Me <--- er...

So women, expect better ...don't settle for anything less ...get the Princess treatment ...date tons... how else will you discover your type ...I believe that what we want & what we need are two different things!
Most importantly, have fun! You've got many years of heartache & smug married-ness in the future anyways :P

WARNING: NERD ALERT - PROCEED WITH CAUTION

First day as a woman on campus...fresh, eager, sponge like brain...The Dean mumbles 'Learning is constant, when you graduate, all you would have learnt becomes old school, technology moves full speed ahead and waits for no man'

I go for my postgrad classes and it seems that I've been left behind. I'M THE YOUNGEST IN MY CLASS!!! HOW THE HELL CAN THAT BE...SHOULDN'T I KNOW WHAT'S CURRENT?
I think to myself 'I've only learnt this 2 years ago! How can the entire network system be disregarded today already?' Remember learning ISDN hailed as the network of the future... rubbish... now its NGN (Next Generation Networks)...where ISDN was wired, NGN aims to be wireless. VERY VERY COOL if its implemented! New protocols are constantly being standardised *sweats. I remember my friends tell me years ago 'Work first...Get experience...then Masters'. I am so glad I didn't wait. In my experience...I strongly discourage waiting. Today, I still can connect the new with the old learnt in my undergrad days. Give it a year or two and one will be entirely left behind.

In a world that glorifies celebrities...Sigh, society

Lets see you survive without Engineers :P

Okay, okay, hold your horses...I'll include...lets see you survive without...IT, Science Researchers, Accountants, Lawyers, Doctors, Managers, Communicators...the list goes on...Its a mystery why we prefer to keep up with the Academy Awards in comparison to achievements that really makes a difference in living standards such as Nobel Prize winners *que spooky X-Files music.

1. Reports waaaay overdue *4 to go.

2. Midterms preparation that takes hours of analysis and deciphering *I miss the good old undergrad days.

3. Teaching my chicken pox infected student *no pls lord, I haven't caught it yet.

5. My boss is shifting house, so UM EMG Lab nerds help her move *extremely fun actually!...I try my best to still keep my aura of sexiness as I sweat & trip over boxes.

The constant nagging in my head that finals is less than a month away doesn't help either. I can't find the time to head to the gym for fun time.

ps: O DuDu...O DuDu...wherefore art thou DuDu! I'm terribly sorry...I've got 1/4 of the PC's now working...heheh, I promise to steal the MPH card & we can use my free MPF cafe coffee coupon too!

SHORT TALK:

Sometimes I wonder if I really am worthy of such fantastic friends. You become a little cynical as you grow older. A little wiser of misfortunes that can befall you. More people are self absorbed & sharing isn't in the equation. You think like many...trust no one but yourself.

As of one year that I have strived to fulfill my dreams...I had no proper job...I wasn't paid my due wages...I am constantly struck speechless when each time I meet up with my pals...they ALWAYS...ALWAYS paid for my meals. I try to squeal...NO...don't do that...I have some $$$.

It boils down to the fact that they truly support what matters so much to me
! Money is a big...BIG deal & when one can part with money for a friend, I am always floored. They aren't by any means rich themselves. It speaks volumes of their character to me :) Just wanted to express my gratitude and I'm usually so touched at the moment that I can't really express it effectively :P
GAMBATEH! I will try my best...I always say, I know, if it weren't for the people around me...I would be no where! *Major hugs!

*Confessions of a Shopaholic*

Well, my room isn't pink....that surely must mean I'm not as bad a shopaholic as she is? Yeah, I may have a 4 tier shoe rack...I may strut across my room past midnight in my new heels...I may hyperventilate when I find that P.E.R.F.E.C.T dress...I may have the largest wardrobe space in my house...surely...surely there isn't the slightest possibility that I have a problem!

Thats what I thought until...I read Sophie Kinsella's fabulous book! OMG I've been meaning to get my grubby paws on it for years...I spanked myself last night forcing myself to study...instead...I spent the wee hours reading two out of the Shopaholic series!

I swear to God...I was rolling about my seat...roaring with laughter. I NEVER KNEW! I NEVER KNEW so many women around the world suffered from the same symptoms as I did! As I kept reading I realised that was the exact book I needed to uplift me through these days of exam stress!

My OMG...WTH...moments as I read the book was:

1. I swear I thought it was only me that did this...I'd put on an outfit...as I check myself in the mirror...I'd say...fabulous...top: Cats Whiskers, skirt: French Connection, shoes: Vincci, belt: Vintage *mums...just like in the magazines when they catch someone on the road and ask em to list what they were wearing!

2. The feeling you get when you walk past a shop and the word SALE 50%! 70%! screams out to you...I mean when its a fabulously expensive place that you'd never splurge on full price...Me? I flee like a member of a pack of wolves...my personal favs...perfectly affordable when discounted: ZARA, French Connection, Eclipse, DIVA, Guess, British/East India, MNG, Dorothy Perkins, Selfridge! I REFUSE TO BUY SOMETHING FULL PRICE!

3. When I read this...I was like :-O ...I was doing this unconciously too! She says women shop in a year like the old English farm crop rotation method...instead of wheat/barley/turnips...we go with shoes/dresses/makeup/skincare/accessories...HAHAH...so true!

4. That feeling...that feeling...when you find a great buy...and your hand wraps around the baggie's handle...that feeling...nothing beats that eh! Then I go home...rip the label out...keep the labels...toss the baggie in the 'BAGGIE'S GALORE' section of my room with all the other lovely baggie collections. I distinctly remember my BBF say to me 'What? You mean its from Sarah Jessica Parker's clothing line? Crap! I'm going home to dig the label outta the bin!'

5. I do know this for a fact...when women get depressed...we have no money...nothing cheers us up like WINDOW SHOPPING...I loooooove going out with my empty wallet...cruising from boutique to boutique trying on glorious dresses and twirling around feeling like a princess at that moment. Well, therapist bills avoided :P

6. The part I resonated most with Becky was the fact that she held a respectable job as a financial journalist. She dreams of that perfect scarf as she sits through meetings...she fears that one day the world will wise up and realise that she's just really good at pretending to be the responsible average adult....but then as the novel progresses she realises SHE IS fantastic...she does know her stuff...she figures out how to employ her boring job into stuff she's passionate about!

I often feel like engineering isn't the place for me...I AM 90% PRINCESS 10% INTELLECTUAL BEING...I put on a brave face and hope they don't catch me daydreaming of the yummy black pepper chicken I'm gonna cook myself tonight. How I've got the toughest choice between going for Bollywood or Belly dancing tonight going through my head. How many lilies have bloomed in my garden today?

Funny thing is, I've slowly learnt that nerds are unimaginative...all books and no creativity is no means for geniusness. I want to use what I've learnt for the benefit of people around me...an engineered kitten heel that turns into flats at the push of a button?

As a girly girl, my current research is fantastic...the detection of breast cancer warms my heart...I WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE...DOESN'T MEAN I'VE GOTTA LOOK CRAPPY WHILE ATTEMPTING IT RIGHT? SHOPAHOLICS UNITE!

*Random thoughts*
  1. Crap! I didn't realise that cute men at the gym were chuckling at my bottom boogie on the dance floor through the one way mirrored door. Slight inkling that there are silent giggles from those monitoring through the camera installed just above me too :P

  1. I still suffer from PDA withdrawal...I miss my playlist *no one has one remotely like mine I dare say...I miss my GPS that gets me out of bimbo 'I don't like geography' moments in the car...I miss obsessively playing solitaire every chance I get...I miss reading the ebooks *currently its Mitch Albom's new novel I've uploaded into the PDF viewer...I miss the ridiculously business like ring tone its set at...I miss not having to stare at shoes as I whizz across the city in the LRT....WHAT HAPPENED? MY DOG HAD A GO AT IT...yeap, I'm not kidding.

  1. Is it just me or is it getting a little scary these days the transformation some people go through to effectively deny what they truly look like...the coloured eyes, pinched eye lids, blonde highlights, fake eyelashes, permed/straightened hair...what do you really look like when it all comes off? I once tried on a pair of hazel contact lenses...slight tinge of colour...The first day, LRT ride, man comes up to me and says 'Your eyes drive me wild'...Yup, true story. I didn't feel flattered really...it was the contacts he was eyeballing. I never bought a pack again. My sense of humour and irony...my most attractive traits, are naturally, for free :))

  1. I wonder of the consequences of splurging on designer shoes/bags. I debate with the fashionista in me when I see a fantastic bag. It just doesn't feel right to pay so much money while people are dying of hunger on parts of the world for something that can be bought for a small portion of the price at one's local flee market. Take the time, head to bargain boutiques, you're sure to snag a similar piece.

  1. I've slowly come to feel an intense need to break out of this bubble. So many people, stuck in a little world of their own. I want to see the whole world! I want to learn of different cultures! See historical buildings! Ride the scooter across cities with a flowery scarf on! I want to speak the broken French I learnt in university!

  1. I realise today as an adult is that what most of us are too stupid to realise until its too late... when looking for T.H.E person to latch onto for the rest of your life is someone we can truly be ourselves without false pretences. Honest conversations without judgement and inside jokes with unlimited laughter. Anything else should be regarded as minor technical (caste,$$$,religion, physique, intellect) details.

  1. I feel a constant pull by the rebel in me. She needs the adrenaline rush. A junkie really.

  1. I grow to learn that friendships take work. Its only successful with equal give & take. If you need someone to be there, you got to give it your all and be at arms length when a crisis comes up. Catch up sessions are a must. The people you choose to surround yourself with can make or break you! True friends are a rare find.

  1. I wish I could just combine American, British & Asian television. American for the glossy feel to it, beautiful people, fantastic gadgets. British for their wit and extremely intelligent 'makes you think' storylines. Asian for the culture, glitz and glamour.

  1. I just felt the need to make it an EVEN NUMBER 10 :P
