Maybe I'm the star of my own movie *hilarious day
Where should I begin? The day was funny and scary rolled into one!

All I can say is that the people that dont know me personally may assume that I was making it all up...men will never get why I'd be so traumatized...truly I am...during that moment I didn't know it wouldn't end bad & I'd later be giggling about it...its happened again and again to us all...perils of being a woman! Each and everyday I walk out of the house feeling invincible...then times remind me of my darn feeble and vulnerable gender! Funny,my fon wasn't locked as usual and it dialled MUM at the very moment! Soooo like the movies :P

*Warning : Creepy Men, I am not afraid of whacking you with my heels!
Girl Power!

The baloon I got last week is still alive and kicking!

Played adorable BATU SEREMBAN with my student! Its neon coloured n glitters!

Day ended with drumroll.........

He was just a few feet in front of me in the LRT at about 10pm...I was so terrified he might jump me...I shook as I snapped the pic...the board on his tee says "Pak Lah tolong dengar idea saya pulak"! He came with a trolly filled with weird boxes and inventions. Heheh, its been weeks since the election and excitement is still spilling over.

Gosh...Gang...we're nearly a quater of a century years old!
Gosh, thank you for reminding me that I'm no longer Forever 21...2 months from today...the day I popped out of Mum and said 'Howdy World!'

You may say its me but I do not believe in astrology hooplah...I've given the 'I determine my own fate yaadaa yaadaa' speech far too many times :P

The Gemini Woman

They say that fish feeds the brain, and you'll need to nosh it by the netful if you're hoping to keep a Gemini woman interested. Some of them are so bright they make a rainbow look dull. *thats just too much praise. She'll love to see the new plays, the latest films, read the newest books and will happily join you for a jaunt, whether artistic or academic, amusing or athletic. *aaaah...I do need variety

They are feminists at heart, and believe totally that they are equal to men in every way. *You mean I'm not? They have no need to demonstrate their femininity with frills, frocks and flounces, and will flit about in fusty old things to prove their point. They want to be known and loved for themselves, and their brains.*I truly believe that HOT-NESS oozes from one's aura...not based how you look! A Gemini girl will therefore be much more interested in your mind than your body and looks. If you plan to bowl one over, you'd better brush up on your brainpower before you begin. *thus all my leading men take note :P

Even if you know a Gemini girl who's the sizzliest thing on two legs, don't let her know you see her as a sex symbol. She will raise an elegant eyebrow, clock you with a look that will make you wish you'd never mentioned it in the first place, and quote a large lump of Freud or Jung at you. (And don't say to her "Who's he?") *I know a whole lotta non-Gemini women that would fit this!

Although she is generally very pretty, one of her best features is the one you will never, ever see her mind. Even if you hold her head up to the light and peer through her ears, you won't spot it. You'll only be aware of it working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Whether she's awake or asleep, it will be ambling away, assimilating facts, amassing future knowledge. If you share your life, or just your living-room with her, you'll be constantly confounded by her chirpiness at all hours of the day or night. *seriously...my family must be rolling on the floor laughing at this statement....dad yells everyday 'Shut up! Do u know what time it it?'

Er...maybe...if you say so...this woman thinks there are far too many variables to generalise a bunch of people based on the day they were born :P

Anyone taking my early bday request?

Day well spent :)
My sleeping pattern was still alil screwed up so I only got a few hours of sleep! Dark circles rimmed my eyes and it seemed that even rubbing concealer under my eyes to fake my beauty sleep didnt do much.I was screaming in my head 'Crap, you gotta look fabulous today!'. I had something important planned for the night!

I hopped to campus and the abang lab came up to me and said 'Kena ambil barang Prem....bumbung dah runtuh!'. It was right above my table! WTH....I MAY HAVE HAD A NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE!

You can look through the holes and see the roof above it!

Like I've always said....I love MMU but UM certainly has its charms :P
The rest of the day proceeded as normal...then the night came...I rushed home...tore my clothes off and put on my corporate girl outfit *collared shirt & pencil skirt. It transformed me into my serious engineer counterpart. I was heading to my first IEM Toastmasters meeting. I was nervous...I knew I could speak but gibberish at times...What if I giggled too much? I needed to UPGRADE MYSELF!
When I stepped in...I looked around lost...a nerdy chinese guy, electrical engr about my age sniffs at me and says 'Are you wearing DKNY Delicious?'...I was like 'waaaa....he's gotta be cool since he knows his perfumes' :P I sat next to em guys all night! Another interesting chap,a civil engr that was an extremely charming Colonel from the Malaysian Military made me the yummiest tea.

The night was well spent. I learnt alot from these old buggers :) They were mostly Ir. Engineers that were extremely professionally dressed but they had no air of snobbery about them at all. They were all extremely warm and welcomed me in seconds. I was worried about being regarded as young and inexperienced...but they made me an equal and I was proud. Will be back at the same spot in 2 weeks to try my first speech!
ps: Sorry for ditching u guys when we had dinner plans...will make it up to y'all :P

Mood: INSPIRED.

*Thought Provoking*
It aint about the fact that we all came from the same seed....It aint about the fact that we're all Ceylonese,Chinese,Indian,Malay etc...It aint the fact that nature forces us to care about each other...Its the simple fact & the totally cheesy fact that as Disney puts it best in Lilo and Stitch :P 'Ohana means family, and family means that nobody gets left behind or forgotten'. Today my mum and her siblings gathered to honour the memory of my granpa and granma. The thought of it the night before left a slight feeling of uneasiness and I couldnt go to sleep. It was 5am before I really fell asleep and I kept waking up every few hours.

I woke up for good at bout 11am...usually bright & alert me was dizzy & wobbly...mum and dad had the day off after the prayers and had headed to KLCC. Decided that I was gonna go meet em there! MUM N DAD = FREE $$$ :P Funny, like I keep telling him that he's gotta a bell in his head that rings when I'm free...I met up my good buddy for lunch in KLCC too. My lunch buddy noticed my zombie like state...I couldnt think of much to say, brain was still tired...usually we'd talk of everything and anything. I think it was meant to be that he did the talking today because he told me of a tale that stuck in my mind all day.

It was a tale that sadden me deeply...I didnt really show it because I couldnt imagine being in that position. It was a tale of the importance of surrounding oneself with people that are loyal, dependable, honest and kind.

ps: upon meeting lunch buddy for lunch again...he said 'aiya....its not that dramatic...!' Heheh...I was picturing something a whole lot different....so actually it wasnt that depressing LOL :)

*Doesnt my uncle look like a brown Elvis to ya...the hair...the old school shirt and glasses!

I am so blessed to have the family and friends that I have...we fight constantly, laugh heartily, allows each other to release the crazy in us with no judgement and know in our souls that when one's in trouble...there at least dozens of people I could think of that'll drop it all to be there for me...thing is we may not like each other at times but the love is always there. My cousins are the siblings I never had because we all grew up together as a huge family. My granma taught us to weather storms together, united as one. At night we all gathered at my granma's house and had a yummy dinner dedicated to her fabulous cooking. We then headed to the mamak shop and caught up on what was up with each other. We become the kids that played together when we sit together!

The day ended with me knowing that it is worth it to take the time to help a person in need...worth it to give a helping hand...worth it to lend a ear...worth it to loan my shoulder to cry on...you go to your grave alone...all the overtime you spent making money wont mean a rats arse then...all you need is enough to live by and have fun...take risks, leap into the unknown, don't let the moment go by,show no fear...a true friend is hard to come by these days.

*Love & Hugs to you guys! Muaaaaaah!

Monday....not too shabby...not too shabby at all
Monday....not too shabby....not too shabby at all...Went for a late night movie :)

How was it?

1. I froze to death...teeth chattering n all...damn girls and their skirts. DuDu would always warn me ' Snoopy, no sissy skirts!'.
2. Watches as wolves gulped down zinger burgers in seconds...UM's food is so unappetising that I was hungry but din know wat to eat all day....settled for popcorn as food for Monday.

3. I hear football, FIFA sumthing sumthing and I zoned out missing my girlfriends. Pretended to not care when the topic of PC games came up....if only men knew I was a game freak in uni years...Warcraft,Ragnarok,PoP...Prema yelling at me to quit n study *Then she'd play the Nemo game with me....We'd go online at the same time in Cyberia...Scream when a connection dies...Only time to get up n go to the loo...No food breaks...Yi Fen got me addicted to em all!

4. I bumped into my good old buddy old pal, Foozball! Highlight of my night...I miss messing her curls tons! In high school we'd meet the gang on each weekend at 1U and giggle at the sight of cute boys and shiny earings...we did that for 5 years!

5. Sat next to two extremely flu-ish men...Pls God...I have my finals coming up.
6. Passed near Phileo Damansara *Industrial Training and wondered what all the chinese men i bonded with...Yee Siang,Lobak,Ken,Alex etc ...are doing today.

7. The movie left me with the feeling of wanting to watch School of Rock again! I gotta save up to learn the electric guitar...sponsors?

8. I gotta hang with two of the coolest cars! To me I think they show character and absolute coolness! I'm not a big shiny car kinda girl :P

ps: Tq for the fabulous keychain...I needed a replacement for my lab keys! No, not everyone knows eagle eye cherry! wanna bet :P To both...get better...keep the flu to yourselves!

Off to Klang for Breakfast!
In the spirit of being an adventurous family...my dad wailed early morn waking the Nathan clan up. Dragging ourselves outta the comfy sheets and hopping into the car...we sped off to our breakfast location! WHERE DID WE GO I HEAR YOU SAY?

Its this fabulous kopitiam in Klang right situated on the row opposite the KTM station. Its got everything you need for a great breakfast :) I lived in Klang for the first half of my life *thank god ain't the second half :P My Dad's family lives here and we're used to heading down here every week. Funny how we never noticed this kopitiam!

OMG, this uncle's job states PENULIS AWAM...Dad says in the old days, not many people could read or write so it was this guy's job to type em out...we could hear him 'tap tap tap' on his dusty typewriter.

Once we were super stuffed and still half asleep...we headed back to civilization *PeeJay! Dad caught the Indiana Jones bug and sped to the oh so famous B.R.E.A.T.H.T.A.K.I.N.G. Taman Tun Park! We walked the food off as we snapped pics.May I say its been a morning well spent ;)

Adventure of the day :)
My life as a car-less person revolves around hopping into the lrt each and everyday. I run with my lil skirt and expensive heels, clutching my bag for my dear life and turning on my sony walkman and the electric guitar soothes my soul. The people stare at one another...what else can they do eh :P I pray that they dont notice my unmanicured nails!

I've always passed by Kerinchi station and noticed that there's this mamak shop where one can sit right next to the LRT tracks...heheh yeah being an engineer that was super cool to me! See, you'd be right next to the LRT as it passes by...I JUST HAD TO...I headed over there and had my morning coffee *ahem, ok it was waaaay past noon. As I made my way towards the LRT station feeling extremely satisfied with my tiny daily adventure...I looked down and got a view of this :

On a more serious note...I hate the fact that there are Malaysians living like this...I hate the fact that there are people that whine that they aren't pretty enough or rich enough...Sigh, if the average Malaysian struggles to make ends meet what about these people that live smack in the middle of the fast city KL? *Hoping for a change!

Adventure Overdose....Just the way I like it!
It was a holiday and I was damn well gonna squeeze the fun outta the day! It began with me and my gay partner (*just kidding...i prefer men) oversleeping...I rushed to put on my 'Girl about KL Part 2' outfit...choose the perfect pair of heels and ran to the LRT station. We wobbled to the KL Sentral monorail station only to find that God has heard my prayers :-0 All the women were looking in one direction....a huge bunch of sailors...they weren't cute but the uniform was so *gosh, blush...thank you lord! What a way to begin the day :P

Destination 1: Times Square

Totally starving, we hunted for a place to eat before beginning our marathon around KL. Yeap girls about town we are. When hunting for a spot to eat:

1. Foods gotta look yummy

2. Foods gotta be cheap (rather spend the $$$ on the sales)

3. Foods gotta come on a nice comfy table (so we can yack yack as we eat)

We made a stop at Station Kopitiam...verdict : pretty good and affordable!

Destination 2: Sungei Wang

Observe how out of place we felt...turn left, turn right...study states that to belong one needs to have a sense of fashion thats totally funky, stripy, kinky, wonky and randy! Think the Japanese girls in Gwen Stefani's videos...yeap...u got that right...I admire their guts but gosh...not a place for le femmes ingenieurs. Thing is you may ask why then go to Sungei Wang? Thats because the bags, accessories, shoes are really cheap n sparkly...and I don't mind those being funky at all!

Destination 3: Lot 10

Well, nothing interesting really...same old, same old. This was the coolest thing I saw :P

Destination 4 : Pavilion

Paaaapaaaam...at last Pavilion. The place we really wanted to go! Gosh, we spent hours and hours there...it was super crowded...super sales...super yummy tea treats.

This is what Gaya had...Honey Dew Sago...it was really good. She slurped it up like a hungry 3rd world country child!

We rushed to the 4th floor to check out the H.U.G.E FOREVER 21! OMG...OMG...it was so well decorated...I totally want a bedroom makeover! Each section had a theme based on the collection of designs...waaaaaa....

Take a lookie at their dressing rooms...I wanna...I wanna! We tried dresses...amazed at how fabulous we looked...sighed at how expensive they were...I must work harder in art class!

Being the absolutely cute creature that I was....I was given a baloon even though well, I was above the age of 5 :P

Hopping into the Monorail again with our friendly neighbourhood monorail driver uncle...we went in the wrong direction all the way to the end and made a turn around to the other end, KL Sentral...then I rushed to Peejay for the next destination!

Destination 5 : SS2, Tong Sui

Looks yummy? It was perfect...hot n yummy on a rainy day...great company *Mizz Mindy Chong...we giggled through the night...catched up on what, who and when...She's always been there with boy advice, work advice, female advice, fashion advice and pretty much all I need...I've known this girl half my life and she's could very well blackmail me with all she knows of me one fine day *Yikes!

Headed home late nite...stripped off my dress...jumped into bed...I'm ready for another loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day tomorrow!

Memories of Akka and BooBooWabbit
As kids....my mum would wake up early morn to cook a nutritious lunch for her growing children. Thing is, in her rush to cook before heading to work....erm....the food ends up being an UNIDENTIFYABLE SUBSTANCE! Taste kinda funky...smells kinda wonky...felt kinda lumpy.

Me and my sis would get back from school...look into the kitchen...say 'eeeeewwwww'...then look at each other and decide to cook up a storm on our own. My sis fav used to be my special spicy nasi goreng...spaghetti...chicken rendang...anything we could grab from the fridge. She would slice the ingredients and I would be the chef!

We decided its time we tried it again for old time sake....how did it turn out u say? Take a look!

LOOKS YUMMY RIGHT!!! :P

Arent Mondays usually a Bore?
Its been days since I've had the normal 6-8 hour a day sleep requirement...Monday morn, 7am the alarm clock screams...I scream...usually I'd smack it and snooze back but today I skipped outta the comfy sheets and headed to KL to visit my anonymous sister from another mother thats been hospitalized for a few days. Being a kid that grew up spending her days in the hospital constantly due to asthma...I knew she would be bored to death and not to mention imagining ghosts flying through the air.

Gosh,I've known her for years and she actually looked rested and beautifully eye bag-less :P We chatted about it all as I munched on her yummy pink guava's. The doctor came in and says 'My dear, you may go home now'. I could see fireworks run through her head in delight! My work was done and I headed back home. I caught a quick 2 hour nap (*I forgot how fabulous naps were)

Argh, MMU's on a break and I'm doomed to spend the day with my real siblings so my glorious nap was cut short...did I mention Snuffles loves chewing anything and everything...after saving the rag he grinned and headed to the shoe cabinet.

Yeah, figured out where we headed to? Jalan Telawi...my home away from home...with everyone looking so fabulous its hard not to hop into Bangsar Village and sneak a peek at what they had to offer. We headed straight to Cats Whiskers for their grand sale! As my sis tried on racks worth of clothes, I proceeded to taking vainpot photos :P DIVALICIOUS!

Look closely...u can see my dad is on the first shirt (yes he has an afro but now its a half-fro!) and my sis's on the next shirt 'My sister is little miss chatterbox'. Erm, am I rambling?

As the night arrived, the storm came with it and we fleed for our lives as we got wet. Madam Kwan was a perfect stop for a cold day...my vegetarian sis had her fav cendol with gula melaka and I had hot steaming curry mee.
Once the day ended and we noticed the crowd heading to the clubs down the road, we knew it was time to head back. NOT BEFORE HITTING CAFE MARMALADE!

Ok, its this fabulous cafe in Bangsar Village. Its has pastry, food, the usual drinks one gets in a cafe. The thing that I love about it is the enviroment...the walls are painted with adorable murals and one gets a view of Bangsar when you sit by the window.

Thats my fav tweetie cos its scared shitless of being on the top of the world on the ferris wheel...I'm not very good with heights *yeah yeah I bet the rest of you are lion hearted! Come to think of it when are u guys taking me to the Eye of Malaysia?

Shal had french fries that she ate within seconds...and we shared a honey latte with a sesame seed cookie. With a smile on my face of a day well spent...I hopped under the sheets of my bed, snuggled against my pillows and dreamt of all THE SLEEP I WAS GONNA GET! THE SNORE MARATHON HAS BEGUN!

The grand tale of PREM&PREM UM & pals!
Sunday had arrived...I had overslept...the morning was young...my eyes were rimmed red with dark circles...I knew the day I dreaded had arrived. I calmly packed my notes as I headed down to campus. Deep down I knew 10am would arrive soon....

I hear the lecturer call out to me 'Prem, nampak blur hari ni'...I replied 'I'm still asleep, sir!' He proceeds to dig into his huge bag, pull pieces of paper out, grab a ruler and rips the papers into half in an extremely dramatic fashion...he looks to us and says 'Class, we'll have a quiz now thats simple and another tonight that much tougher' .Watch Chandra's face as he figures out we're in deep doodoo...We scramble to form groups as the questions are passed around. The Prem&Prem team of UM get busy and solve the hell out of the 'simple' question! Class breaks for well, 5 hours till the night shift and what does the team of engineers do with their free time? We sit in the lab and screw with expensive fancy gadgets :P

See...proof of my all time coolness...Mr.Singh's taking the time to read my blog between classes!

OOOOOOH...AAAAAHHHH.....WAAAAAA....

Realising that we still had 2 hours left to kill, we hopped into Chandra's car and cruised for some tasty treats and tea.

Look....I H.A.V.E to make this joke....its POP-IN-THE-SINGH (pupinder singh) in the photo below! The day ended with another horrifying quiz and as we headed home after a long Sunday I believe a sense of camaraderie like soldiers of a team filled the night air. We had survived another bloody battle together! May I say that it has been absolutely fabulous being the rose amongst the macho men thorns for the past year...TQ for all the free food, free drinks, free ride, carrying my books, bodyguarding, teasing! Weeeeeeee, till the next Sunday then :)

*No offence intended to the Prem&Prem MMU babes :P

Bet you thought aaahhh...the day is over! NEVER when I'm around, squeezing the juice outta each day. Thus the weekend ended with a bang! Got home extremely late...hugged my bolster...snored...

N.A.U.G.H.T.Y de femmes ingénieurs about town!
What can i say to redeem myself? It been a tough week at work and I've gotta midterm tomorrow! * Yeah yeah yawn...
The test was unexpected...I had weekend plans organised weeks earlier! A reunion with my old form 5 classmates, a haircut, yamcha with Dudubutt n pals. Once hearing that my test was postponed to this Sun, I did what any respectable nerd would do...CANCEL ALL THAT IS FUN!

I was feeling mighty proud of my responsible self on Friday night. I could spend the whole weekend preparing. Little did I know...she who is Gay & Mighty would seduce me to yummy dimsum n a 'short' trip to The Curve. When the ball of fun gets rolling one just cant stop!

Being women, we killed time hunting for the dimsum spot that was just down the road from the house *blush. When we finally found it thanks to a nice uncle...we were starving! As u can see...all the yummy dimsum in the world!!! We yacked as we ate and slowly began to realise...we've got too much on out plate...slowly but surely we crammed it down :)

Hopping into the Gay Mobile...miniskirt and heels ready to tackle the day...we cruised the clear highway towards The Curve. Window shopped all morning and through noon. Stopped for a moment to have yummy mamak tea and speeded our way to the place we've been waiting to shake our royal booties at for ages *Cupcake Chic!

The cupcakes were:

1. Super yummy

2. A lil on the pricey side

3. How does one choose between the fabulous names and the variety of flavours?

4. The flavours are available based on the days...thus,head down to the spot on the day ur fav flavour is available!

5. The waiters are pretty tall n yummy themselves :P

6. The atmosphere is perfect for a girls day out or a date with a sugar loving man.

7. The cupcakes are about as big as your palm...topped with coloured frosting.

A day well spent and to top it off it was just noon and I was refreshed...mentally recharged...ready to tackle some Radio Frequency! Ahem...lil did I know what was in store for me next! As people called me...the wind of 'Prem's left the house' got around. The next moment, I found myself being dragged through One Utama amongst lovely baloons. In my head all I heard was 'Get out while you can...save urself!' Slowly the gang grew bigger and I was stuck being out all night :P

Dear readers,

If you happened to pass by Old Town Kopitiam during the weekend and saw a sad lil girl with ringlet hair reading a big book on electric circuits...that was me...n i'm not ashamed of it!
Crap, the panic is setting in! *Pray pray
I DO BELIEVE IN THE PRINCIPLE OF BALANCE : WORK HARD,PLAY HARD BABY...i'll try :)

Is there a man that wants to defend my dignity?
Argh...i woke up this morning...picked up the newspaper...read this...its been in my mind ever since. Is there a man that wants to defend my dignity? Maybe smack this feeble old man on the head? Kick him in the tush? Spank his hand?

SAMY VELLU

On whether the MIC would consider joining the Opposition, he said it would still be with the Barisan.
“Even if the wife is not beautiful, we will still live with her.”

Highly Recommended...Belgian Chocolate
Being the groovy girl about town...i must say it is my royal duty to visit the new malls (its not that new anymore). The grand adventure took place last Monday and this time me n my hottest girlfriend, Mum :P headed to Bintang Walk to rummage through the sales at Pavillion. Sungei Wang, Lot 10,KLCC.

Pavillion is pretty much another similar to the 'rich people's floor in KLCC' thus, one looks around at all the glorious designers and gets the cheaper version somewhere else *yeah, now u know my secret!

We headed to Coffee Bean for these yummy stuff...its been years since i've been there and they've added new flavours. I remember my high school days spent lazing and gossiping about boys all Sunday long in Coffee Bean!

Really chocolatey, yummilicious....belgian chocolate ice blended...it was a lil too sweet for my liking but mum sucked half the amount up in seconds. For food our family fav, Spicy Chicken Puff was ordered.

Thought for the day:
Nah,I've never been one to be afraid of failure or embarassment. If we're always analyzing the risks, your dreams will be stifled, you'd never progress and be stuck happy and safe in your good old comfy spot. The key I believe is to dive in without fear, extreme confidence in yourself that you'd succeed in the end and no sense of regret.

Date?
Warning...the content below may contradict all the Cleo, Female, Cosmo,Vogue magazines...all the Sex and the City,Friends,Hindi movies,Japanese movies,Tamil movies,Malay movies included. What could be so mortifying you ask that makes me question my daily reads?Let me begin by explaining my situation...lets call it an experiment shall we...I was once talking to my buddy Porkchop, one of our lets ponder on the fact that we're fabulous women that cant seem to find the kinda men we want...always the wrong, never mr.right...Then she hit a lightbulb moment...'Prem,What if we're being picky and mr.right has been caste aside for not being cute, having a sexy butt, great job,bad conversationalist, himbo? what if we think we know they type of guy we want but actually he's not the kind we need?'

Hmm, that got me thinking because i have so many cute girlfriends that have men ready to step up but have remained single for ages. So the lot of us made a pact to expand our search...maybe venture towards the nerdy but nice ones, the cute but shy ones, the hot but not so brainy ones, the facinating but psycho ones, the johnny depp tortured ones, the hiphop 'macha' ones, the goatee mustachee 'mike' ones, the my pants is falling off my arse ones,my bling is shinier than urs ones, the takes you to mamak for dates ones, the pays for your food ones, may need you to pay for their food ones, only likes you for your booty ones....i've met so many along the years!

I told myself as of graduating its time to date! So far the search has compromised of the same types we've all gone for...em naughty kinds :P haih, i donno what the appeal is...this time i decided i'd go in the other direction. I'm calling him variable A...i've been teased with guy A for ages in Uni (yeah like leiteen's sindrom down guy, yifen's superman/dean cain) I've never known him personally and didnt know he was someone i could hang out with behind his nerdy outer shell :P Till recently, as I got to know guy A better...i saw things i'd never seen in my usual macho man. I could hear Cleo,Female say 'seeee....all the time u wasted....go for the nice ones!'

I was still skeptical because i was in foreign waters...i've never had to do the asking out on a date routine...the macho man always did that! What if the nice guy is shy? Should i ask him on a date instead? OMG....WRONG WRONG MOVE! This is what he should have looked like when i was going to say wanna go on a real date?

Instead the below extremely shocked,OMG expression replaced the happy one!

I proceeded to say the things we had in common...in an extremely rational manner...and was gonna say 'Wanna try a real date?' I never got to say it...because:

  1. He began to say ' You're scaring me'....i believe he had the tamil movie scene where one run to the other and says if u dont marry me i'll commit suicide.

  2. Statement 'I have no asking girls out phobia'...donno,maybe not

  3. I began to suspect that he thought i was an email stalker (crikey! i'm too busy as it is)

Dear guy A, my mum says 'Premeela, ur not in the US where girls can scare the crap outta men by asking them out on a date...esp indian men!...u know how they are' Sigh, its never been more apparent why i've always felt outta place amongst my indian couple buddies. I've giggled at the 'Has he confessed to you' phrase...'I really like/love him'...'My life revolves around chellam'.Its a whole different culture...i've always thought if people have things in common,we should go on dates to see if there is any chemistry, then begin to like each other, then become a couple, begin to respect and love one another in years to come. Its a rational and slow process to me (like my mum&dad)

May I say it here because i'm too shy to say it or sms it to ya...i am just a friend, a little cheeky but like i said its a slow process to me...sadly,i've been left out of the tamil movie loop and i live in a Sex and the City world...i refuse to be more serious altough i will be alil more careful...i hope when u see that girl u absolutely fancy u remember that i was gonna ask u out on a date and get the courage to do so...hell knows, i'm gonna keep scaring the crap outta more men,i have the thickest skin...i hope u get the thing we worked hard on for the past month...i hope u'll lemme in when u hand it in...most of all,i hope you tell me the results whichever the location is...i still can't decipher who u really are...either personality keeps popping out...lastly i hope ur giggling at it all just like me and not steaming in anger...u gotta admit it was freaking funny!
